A few things of import: Hubs got a job. Recap: he’s been a stay-at-home dad/graduate student since Mac was born, but at 18 months, we decided it was time for Mac to try daycare. A perfect job opening happened to pop up at my hubs’ previous place of work, and he got the gig. Yay to two paychecks! As I mentioned last night, hubs also found out he can graduate early from grad school....

This day.
Ugh this day so hard. I took half a Valium by 8:30 am. That’s the kind of day it was. I didn’t even get to look at Tumblr til after 9:30 tonight. We spent $200 on a plumber. Mac started daycare. I dealt with stupid annoying shit at work. Whine. Bright side: Mac did very well at daycare. Hubs found out he can graduate early, thus getting a 10% pay raise and not taking more student...

stfuconservatives: Gay marriage AND insurance coverage for abortions? Man, I’m at the wrong end of this coast. -Jess The headline I saw on Huff Post this morning was, “State may become first to require insurance to cover abortion.” I knew it was Washington without even opening the article. What’s up, my state? I love you!

Monday Check-in.
Obsessing over: My dog’s trachea collapse. The baby shower I’m throwing tomorrow. All the work I have to do at work. Our orientation at Mac’s new day-care (!!!!) this afternoon. Working on: Designing a college comparison worksheet. Thinking about: How to procure more coffee since my office is in the middle of nowhere and I don’t have a car. Anticipating: Being a two...

This exciting life.
Hubs has band practice tonight and I have quite the evening planned for myself. My DVR is overloaded since I was gone for nine days, so epic amounts of television will be watched. I’m making decorations for my coworker’s baby shower—I’m co-hosting & it’s on Tuesday, so I’d better get my shit together.  I might eat cereal for dinner. Who can say...

Snacks.
I want cookies so fucking bad right now. Why cookies? I don’t know. Oh, shit… I think there’s leftover biscotti in the conference room. That’ll do in a pinch. EDIT: Holy shit you guys. I went in there and found a box of Snickers bars. GOD WANTED ME TO HAVE THEM.

Truthful Tuesday, con't.
Things other people seem to love that I think are dumb: Conan O’Brien, The Simpsons, Sean Penn, The Real Housewives of fucking anywhere, Michael Moore, Ed Schultz, most conservatives, Star Wars, Chris Brown, Madonna… Um… I hate lots of stuff. Probably more that I can’t think of right now. This post brought to you by my accidentally viewing fifteen minutes of Conan this...

Deal-breaker.
Hubs was supposed to bring a donut & coffee to me at work since I’ve been up since 3 am and IT’S ALL HIS FAULT. He promised a donut & coffee three and a half hours ago. If he’s not here within the next 20 minutes, it’s D-I-V-O-R-C-E. I promise I have adorable pictures of Mac in NY & CT to post in addition to all my fucking tired/donut/coffee whining....

Can’t answer mail on my phone, so please excuse the publicity. Since you have a child, you are considered independent UNLESS your parents claim you and little guy as dependents on their taxes. Check with your financial aid office to be sure, but the consensus at my breakfast table at a college access conference this morning is what I said above.
